Please join us as we assist you in building and setting up a WPSD Digital Voice Hotspot to handle all your digital voice needs (D-Star/DMR/YSF Fusion/P25/M17/NXDN)! 



Parts for this project:

Raspberry Pi 2/3/4/5 or Pi Zero 2W (Original Pi Zero will work but not recommended due to age of device and CPU speed)


SD Card to install WPSD: See Link for an SD Card Recommendation


MMDVM HS Hat or HS Duplex Hat

Amazon or Ebay has these. Search for MMDVM Pi Hat


Case to hold the Pi in, with room for an MMDVM HS Hat extension

C4Labs has some, and for Pi 4 and above, a case can always be 3D Printed, or use a Pi Case without the lid.

Once your have the parts before the class, feel free to download the latest WPSD Image and burn to the SD Card. WPSD Project by W0CHP has great directions on how to do this here! 

Under the Download WPSD Section of the Link, If you are utilizing a Raspberry Pi, you can select the newest OS Bookworm (If you have a Pi 5 you will have to use this one). 


NOTE: If you use Raspberry Pi Imager (which will work as well), do NOT change the username or password, as the username and password that come with WPSD will be erased and cause unintended consequences!) BalenaEtcher just installs the image without asking for additional setups (Wifi/Network can be added later)
